What North Dakota requires:
- Be at least 18
- Complete New Provider Orientation before approval
- Complete Getting Started (15 hours) within 3 months
- Complete annual training hours (typically 9 for part-time, up to 13 for full-time)
- Annual mandated reporter; safe sleep if caring for infants
- CPR/First Aid; background checks for you and household members
