Provider Requirement Levels
- Early Childhood Teacher (ECT): Requires an approved Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood (ACECQA approved).
- Diploma Level Educator: Requires an approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Certificate III Educator: Requires a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Required Training Courses
- Pre-Service:
- Child Protection: Mandatory reporting training.
- First Aid/Anaphylaxis/Asthma: The "HLTAID" series of accredited courses.
- Annual Requirements:
- All Staff: Ongoing professional development is required under the National Quality Framework (NQF).
Reimbursable Training Information through the State
- Priority Wage Subsidy / Hiring Incentive: The Australian Government provides wage subsidies (up to $5,000) to employers who hire apprentices or trainees undertaking Certificate III or Diploma qualifications.
- State-Specific Funding: (e.g., "Smart and Skilled" in NSW, "Skills First" in Victoria) often subsidizes the cost of the Cert III and Diploma courses at TAFE.
Opening a Childcare Facility in Australia
- Agency: Regulated by state bodies (e.g., NSW Dept of Education, VIC Dept of Education) under the ACECQA framework.

- Steps: You must apply for Provider Approval (fitness to operate) and then Service Approval (for the specific site) through the NQA IT System.
Training we do not offer
- HLTAID012 (First Aid in E & C Settings): We do not offer the specific Australian Nationally Recognized Training (RTO) units.
- Certificate III / Diploma: We offer CEU courses, but not the full Australian vocational qualifications (RTO status).
