Mississippi Director's Credential If you want to be a Director of a licensed center, this credential is one of the pathways to achieve.

  • The Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS) (Division of Early Childhood Care and Development) offers its own Director's Credential (DECCD) or OCY Child Care Director's Credential, which fulfills educational requirements. 

Reimbursable Training Information through the State

  • T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Mississippi: Administered by the Mississippi Early Childhood Association. Scholarships for CDA assessment, Associate, and Bachelor's degrees.
  • C2Q (Child Care Quality) Incentives: Some funding available through the Quality Rating System (QRIS) participation.
