Early Childhood Ancillary Certificate (ECAC) Required for lead teachers in publicly funded centers. It is a professional teaching certificate awarded by the state.
- Steps to achieve: Earn your CDA (ChildCareEd training applies here!) and then apply to the Louisiana Department of Education with your CDA certificate.
Reimbursable Training Information through the State
- Louisiana Pathways:
- CDA Scholarship: Pays the assessment fee for the CDA.
- Tuition Scholarship: Pays for college tuition for approved ECE coursework.

- School Readiness Tax Credits: Refundable tax credits for directors and staff based on their credential level (Pathways level).
