Kansas Early Childhood Director's Credential A requirement for anyone who wants to be a Program Director.
- Steps to achieve: You must hold a degree or complete a specific number of college credits in administration and apply to the state.
Reimbursable Training Information through the State
- KCCTO Scholarships:
- In-Service Training Scholarship: Pays for registration costs of online or in-person training (up to $200/year).
- CDA Scholarship: Covers up to $400 for CDA training costs.

- T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Kansas: Administered by the Kansas Association for the Education of Young Children (KSAEYC). Covers tuition/books for degrees and credentials.
Opening a Childcare Facility in Kansas
- Agency: Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) - Child Care Licensing.

- Steps: You must attend an Orientation Session with your local licensing surveyor before submitting an application.
