Provider Requirement Levels

SEED Career Ladder Alaska uses the "System for Early Education Development" (SEED) to rate your professional level from 1 to 12. This level is visible in the state registry and is used to determine your eligibility for certain roles.

  • Steps to achieve: Create an account in the Alaska SEED Registry and upload your training certificates, college transcripts, and employment history.

Reimbursable Training Information through the State

SEED ROOTS Award A wage retention bonus designed to reward you financially for staying in the child care field.

  • Description: A cash bonus paid directly to you for remaining employed at a licensed facility for a specific timeframe.
  • How to apply: Apply through the SEED Registry portal once you meet the employment length requirement.
