Required Skills, Education, and Experience
The following trainings are required45 hour Growth and Development Birth-age 12 ONLINE
45-Hour Preschool Curriculum
-Must be at least 18 years old
-Must complete an employee physical and TB test
-Must complete fingerprinting and pass a criminal background check
-Must have or complete CPR & First Aid certification within 60 days or hire.
-Must have reliable transportation
-Must be able to arrive on time and have a consistent attendance record.
-Continuous training and classes to maintain a MSDE credential.
Must have ALL the following Lead Teacher Qualifications:
-Associates in Early Childhood education -or -90 HR Preschool Course
-Supporting Breastfeeding Course Certificate - Minimum of 1 year of childcare work experience, 3+ years preferred
- ADA: Including All Children and the Americans with Disabilities Act certificate
- Basic Health and Safety training Certificate
- 9-hour Communication Course
- Active Supervision and Medication Administration Certificate (not required but highly recommended)
- Any training required by MSDE and maintain proof of training and certifications.
