Georgia: DECAL Scholars CDA Training Scholarship


Could you use financial assistance to cover the cost of the 120 hour CDA Training? Beginning January 21 and for a limited time only, Georgia Decal Scholars will be accepting applications from early childhood educators in Georgia on a first come, first served basis. This scholarship covers up to $500 for CDA Training, making it easier for child care professionals across the state to advance their careers. Choose the training that makes the most sense for you: Family Child Care Credential, Infant/Toddler Credential, Preschool Credential or the NEW Birth to Age 5 CDA Credential.  All of ChildCareEd's CDA training courses include portfolio review support to further help set you up for success. AND the training text can be translated into 40+ languages.

Who Can Apply for This Scholarship?

To be eligible for this Georgia CDA Training scholarship, you must:

  • be a U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident or qualified alien 
  • have at least 6 months of continuous employment as a teacher, assistant teacher, floater, owner, director, or assistant director 
  • have an Active profile in the Georgia Development System (GaPDS)
  • work a minimum of 30 hours per week if your employer is a Child Care Learning Center Licensed by DECAL or the Department of Defense, Family Child Care Learning Home Licensed by DECAL, Exempt Georgia Head Start Center or a Georgia Lottery-Funded Pre-K

 

What Does the Scholarship Cover?

This grant pays up to $500 to cover the cost of the 120 hour CDA Training you need. Which means you pay $0!
