North Dakota: Workforce Registry Incentive

North Dakota early childhood professionals who maintain their Career Pathway placement may qualify for a $250 or $500 Workforce Registry Incentive.

What is the Workforce Registry Incentive?

This state incentive recognizes eligible professionals who have remained at the same Career Pathway level for at least six months while working in an early childhood program. It is an incentive payment, not reimbursement for a training purchase. Awards depend on eligibility and available funding.

Who can apply?

You may qualify if you:

• Have a current North Dakota Early Childhood Workforce Registry membership.
• Have remained at the same Career Pathway level for at least six months.
• Work at least 15 hours per week in an early childhood program.
• Have verified employment in an eligible direct-care or professional role.

The state excludes certain support and substitute roles. Your employer must keep your employment verification current in the Registry.

How much is the incentive?

• Career Pathway Categories B–D: $250
• Career Pathway Categories E–J: $500

When and how do I apply?

Applications open January 1–31 each year. The next scheduled application period is January 1–31, 2027.
