If you’re an early childhood educator in Texas ready to earn your Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Texas Scholarship can help you get there. This opportunity covers the entire cost of the CDA Application Fee, making your path to certification more affordable and accessible.
Offered by the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children (TXAEYC), this #TEXASchildcare grant is designed to support child care professionals in reaching their career goals by eliminating financial barriers to earning a CDA.
This scholarship is part of the broader #TEACHTexas initiative, which helps build a stronger early education workforce by investing in the people who make a difference every day—early educators like you.
✅ Full CDA Application Fee
To apply, you must meet the following criteria:
✔️ Be a resident of Texas
✔️ Work at least 30 hours per week in a licensed Texas child care center or a licensed/registered family child care home
✔️ Be supported by your employer, who must complete part of the application and contribute a small portion of the cost
✔️ Earn $20 or less per hour
✔️ Have an active TECPDS account (Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System)
✔️ Hold a high school diploma or GED
✔️ Have completed 120 hours of CDA training
