Course description:
Research has been showing us that positive collaborations and partnerships between families and teachers have a lasting and profound impact on children throughout their academic career. Unfortunately, the same research has shown us that childcare programs are not using their most valuable resources, the parents, to their fullest potential. We have created this course to help early childhood educators examine the important relationship between the teacher and the student's family and offer practical suggestions for the development of successful family-teacher relationship. Additionally, the training course addresses changing family demographics and the unique needs of special family populations.
