Course description:
ChildCareEd is committed to ensuring the #safety and well-being of infants and adults through its First Aid and CPR AED Certification Course. The course covers techniques for responding to a variety of emergency situations, including administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), using automated external defibrillators (AEDs), controlling bleeding, and addressing injuries and illnesses until professional medical help arrives. Participants learn through a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice, enabling them to confidently and effectively respond to emergencies and potentially save lives. This comprehensive program, taught by an approved HSI trainer, equips individuals with essential life-saving skills while ensuring they meet OSHA requirements and industry standards.
Course Format:
- Blended Learning: The course is divided into two parts – an online portion and a skills verification session with a live trainer.
- Online Portion: Students complete the first part of the course online, which can be done from home or office. The online link for this portion is provided separately. Upon completion, you will be issued a certificate that you will need to present on the day of the skills verification session.
- Skills Verification: After completing the online portion, students need to attend a skills verification session with a live trainer.
Skills Verification:
- In-person face-to-face training held at our corporate office 839 Quince Orchard Blvd Suite E, Gaithersburg, MD 20878.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a 2-year HSI First Aid & CPR AED certification card. This certification will demonstrate that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide first aid, CPR, and use an AED effectively.
After passing the skills assessment, your certification card in CPR, AED, or First Aid training will be sent immediately to your email address.

COVID-19 UPDATE with regards to First Aid and CPR training.
This is in-person training. All students must wear a face mask in class. IF you do not have one you will be required to purchase one for $3 (cash only) paid to the trainer. In accordance with CDC Guidelines, You must answer No to All of the following questions to attend an H&H Training.
Student Questionaire:
1. Have you had a temperature of 100.4F or above in the last 72-hours? Yes No
2. Are you experiencing a cough? Yes or No
3. Are you experiencing shortness of breath? Yes or No
4. Are you experiencing a sore throat? Yes or No
5. Are you experiencing other symptoms such as body aches, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of sense of taste, smell or appetite? Yes or No
6. Have you tested positive for COVID-19 or think you may have had COVID19 within the Last 14-days? Yes or No
7. Have you been in close contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19 or thinks they may have COVID-19 within the last 14-days? Yes or No
8. Have you traveled more than 300-miles from your home within the last 14-days? Yes or No
You will NOT be admitted to class if you answer YES to any of these questions. Please contact the office immediately if you do at 240-261-4163. In addition, you MUST agree to an onsite CONTACTLESS temperature check upon arrival. If you have a temperature of 100.4 or higher, you WILL NOT be admitted into class and will be required to contact the office to reschedule another training.
The class is restricted to a maximum of 9 students. All classes are non-refundable.
