Emergency situations can happen with little warning, and child care providers must be prepared to protect children, communicate effectively, and respond calmly during a crisis. This training covers emergency plan components, types of emergencies, evacuation, shelter-in-place, lockdown, medical emergencies, fire and chemical response, threatening situations, emergency kits, family communication, drills, documentation, and planning for children with special or medical needs. Participants will gain practical strategies to strengthen emergency preparedness, improve staff response, and support the safety and well-being of every child in their care.
