Learning to navigate through the vast number of early childhood curriculums can be a challenge, especially for family child care providers who frequently teach mixed-age groups. They must know what is developmentally appropriate for each age to properly plan and implement effective instruction. After successfully completing this two-hour in-person child care course, participants will be able to demonstrate understanding of an appropriate family childcare curriculum; demonstrate understanding of the elements of schedule planning; and demonstrate an understanding of content areas and how they are related to child development.
