Technology is increasingly becoming a dominant presence in the classroom, even in the early childhood one. Early childhood professionals must be well-equipped in knowing the impact of media and technology on development in order to plan and implement an effective curriculum that safely guides children in appropriate technology use. After taking this training, teachers will have a better understanding of brain development in children birth through age three; demonstrate understanding of the effects of media on the growth and development of young children; and explain effective strategies to guide children’s technology use and combat the media’s influence.
