Working with mixed ages groups can pose a challenge when trying to nurture each child’s developmental needs. Family child care providers must have the foundations of early childhood development in order to address the various needs of children at different ages and to plan individualized instruction tailored to each child. Upon successful completion of this 2-hour in-person child care course, participants will be able to identify the stages and milestones of development, define developmentally appropriate practice, and identify strategies to meet the needs of mixed aged children.
