In Georgia, prior to becoming licensed, a Child Care Learning Center (CCLC) director is required to complete a 40-hour director training. All state-approved training can be found using the Georgia Professional Development System (GaPDS).

ChildCareEd offers the state-approved 40-Hour Director’s Course for those looking to become a Director. This course is designed to help those interested in becoming a Director, understand what is required and how the process works. You’ll cover various topics including fiscal management, licensing regulations, curriculum and child development, family engagement, and marketing.

ChildCareEd’s 40-Hour Director’s Course can be found on the GaPDS Training Code: TG-ASO-1135

Providers in Georgia can also use ChildCareEd trainings to fulfill annual training requirements. To view a full list of training courses approved by Georgia’s Bright From the Start, please visit the GaPDS and search under Approved Sponsor Organization for ChildCareEd TR-ASO-76.
